As someone who wants a Sphynx in the near future, I've been researching these type of cats for a while now. At the sight of these cats, many questions have arose and I'm sure that I'm not the only one. These cats aren't seen often, so it's natural for us to be curious about these furry friends that actually aren't very furry...at all. New Orleans is a city full of culture, most known for its festivals such as Mardi Gras and locations such as  the French Quarter or Bourbon Street. The architecture and design in this historic city is astounding. In May of 2019, my family and I had the opportunity to travel to Louisiana to experience the city for ourselves. I was mesmerized by the interior design that I had seen there. 
Sara Ruffin Costello is an amazing woman of many trades. She decorates, interior designs, writes, and even designs clothing. As if she wasn't an inspiration to many already, her design of a New Orleans' hotel blew everyone away. In Levy's blog, Costello added New Orleans' culture to the mix as she designed the hotel's interior. As I've gotten the chance to visit New Orleans, I can safely say that many of the hotels I've seen didn't have the New Orleans feel to them. Most of them, such as Holiday Inn or Residence Inn by Marriott, had the same design as the rest of their chains did anywhere around the world. Costello's design has inspired so many, including me- someone who wants to go into the interior designing field, to incorporate the surrounding environment inside the interior as well. Thinking a little outside of the box, instead of going with a design that many already use, can turn out extraordinary.

For a long time, I had very damaged hair. I excessively washed it, which stripped it of its natural oils. I dyed and bleached it almost every two months or so, unprofessionally. I exposed it to too much heat because I never embraced my natural hair until recently, so I'd straighten it every morning and evening. Many people that I knew began to comment on how dead my hair looked, and for a long time I started to feel down about myself because of it. I took matters into my own hands, though, and began researching on how to make my hair look and feel alive again. I'd often read blogs by women who were having the same problem as I was, and even companies that specialized in providing products for individuals with damaged hair.

The Dermstore Blog has many helpful tips and links to help someone, such as myself, in great need for hair care. Through the different links/attachments in their blog, you can easily navigate your way to the information you need. My hair is now healthier, but I'm currently looking for ways to increase my hair growth. Blogs, such as Dermstore's, has helped show me what to look for and not look for in the products I buy for my hair, such as shampoo and conditioners. This blog has also enlightened me on how certain hairstyles can alter your hair growth, for example: tight hairstyles like high pony-tails can damage your hair follicles and stunt growth. Dermstore has also referred some really great products that I've tried out and liked the results from. Quick and easy blogs like these can really help you out in your long journeys, such as hair care.

     The New Yorker Magazine, a magazine that is well known for its political articles and short stories, offers the public many illustrated covers that tackle current events in an intriguing way. The covers offer us almost-hidden information that’d need to be looked at carefully, in a more in-depth way, to understand the creator’s message.     As all of us know, twenty-twenty was a year plagued by a pandemic, which made it hard for people all around the world to work and participate in social gatherings or activities. Performers of all kinds, such as athletes, singers, musicians, etc, had everything they’ve made of and for themselves halted within a blink of an eye. The Important Lessons of SUPA WRT 105

     I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to take SUPA WRT 105 in my senior year of high school. During the summer before my last year, the title of this class scared the hell out of me. It was the first college class that I’ve taken, and I knew that it would end up being more beneficial to me than an AP course. Oh how I was right.       I could never grasp the concepts of any AP course that I’ve taken throughout my entire high school experience. Oddly enough, my SUPA class was quite the opposite. Concepts in this class were easy, as I’m not too shabby at writing and finding motivation to write comes easy to me. But I know that my success in this class goes beyond those two things.
